how to be saved today

The Truth About Salvation

Salvation is the free gift of God—offered by grace, received through faith.

We are saved today not by religion, rituals, or rules—but by trusting in what Christ already did for us.

What Did He Do For Us?

Jesus Christ took your place on the cross, paid the full penalty for your sins, and rose from the dead so that you could have eternal life.

This is called ......

"The Good News"

Again - the good news is that Jesus paid the penalty for your sins when He went to the cross.
1 Corinthians 15:1–4 says:

“...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day...”

So Then - How does a person get saved?

You are saved when you believe and trust in what Jesus Christ did for you on the cross

Nothing you or I can do is good enough for God when it comes to being saved - only what Christ did for us

In other words - You are not saved when you:

  • Join a church
  • Get baptized
  • Keep the commandments
  • Try to be “good enough”

Ephesians 2:8–9 says:

“For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:

it is 'the gift of God'

Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

So then - Salvation is a free gift offered to you by God. All you have to do is receive it by trusting in what Christ did for you.

What Must I Do?

Believe—Trust in Christ alone as your Savior.

You don’t need to clean up your life before coming to Him. You come just as you are—a sinner in need of a Savior—and place your full trust in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.

When you do, you are:
  • Forgiven of all sin (Colossians 2:13)
  • Sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13)
  • Made complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10)
